In 1980 Nancy started an astrological chart calculation service called Astro Research Service in San Francisco which provided charts and reports to astrologers and the public.  She did readings and wrote programs that interpreted charts for clients. In the late 1980's she put astrology on the back burner and went to work for Ziff Davis's MacUser Magazine;  in 1992 to Apple Computer; and in 1997 to Sun Microsystems.   ( See Resume for computer cv.) Nancy continued to do charts privately for friends throughout the 1990's and 2000's. 

 Nancy and Shawn Sykora currently have an astrology practice/business called Astrology 1234 in Westlake Village, CA.  They offer astrology readings, classes, videos, printed reports, public Google astrology transit calendars and emailed transit broadcasts.  Nancy is currently a Pro Astrologer for Astrolome.com – an exciting new company that offers astrology readings via smartphones, email and the web.  Her current specialties are transits and the love asteroids.  She is also currently the Webmaster for the Los Angeles Chapter of NCGR.

Nancy's esoteric training and philosophy is most closed aligned with the theosophical writings of Alice Bailey and Western Astrology.
